We start with triple sifted body art quality natural henna powder and add lemon juice, sugar and pure aromatherapy quality essential oils. Our paste smells incredible, is smooth and creamy and stains beautifully.

Our Lavender Oasis Hand-Rolled Henna Cones are made with our sensitive blend Lavender Essential Oil (USDA ORGANIC). Each cone contains about 25 gm of henna. We consider them "medium" sized cones, and are our preferred size to work with.

Our Body Art Kits feature only 100% natural ingredients. All our products are generally safe to use on children and during pregnancy, however a doctor should always be consulted if you have concerns. We NEVER use any black or colored chemical dyes or additives, PPD (para-phenylenediamine), nut products, or preservatives. Avoid henna if you have G6PD deficiency or have been advised to avoid Fava beans, are extremely anemic, or have citrus allergies.

Henna is Perishable! Store cones for later use in the freezer, and defrost at room temperature for 15 minutes prior to use.
Carefully cut a tiny bit off the tip of the cone, straight across.

Grasp the cone near the back/tail end.

Gently apply pressure with your thumb, palm, and fingers. Everyone holds their cone in a unique way, so take time to find a comfortable position for your own hand. Some prefer to hold it more like a pastry bag or more like a pencil.

Place the cone tip not quite touching the skin to lay down nice even lines without a "scratchy" texture.

Vary your squeeze/pressure to control line width and flow.

Once your design is complete, you can poof a bit of cosmetic glitter powder on top to add some shimmery color for the day.

Allow design to dry for 15-30 minutes or until dry to the touch.

Once dry it’s time to seal your henna design. As the henna dries, it can begin to crack and pop off; we want to prevent that from happening. Use your choice of Aftercare Citrus Sealant Spray or Medical Tape to secure your henna. Do not use both.

To remove paste, gently flake off over a trash can or tub. Avoid washing with water. If sticky and stubborn, use coconut or vegetable oil to remove any residue.

Henna paste must be carefully made to perfection in order to get the right consistency, stain quality, and flow. Our henna paste is handmade in small batches and tested each time for stain quality. Henna paste starts with raw materials. The henna is grown in hot, arid climates, like the farms of Morocco, India, and Pakistan. The henna is harvested just before the cooler months and monsoon seasons. Once harvested, the plants are put in the sun to dry. When the plants are dry, they are moved into large bags and transported to an indoor facility. This is where the henna plant gets ground up into a powder. Industrial machines help separate the leaves from the veins and sticks. The leaves get crushed into a powder and sifted multiple times to yield a smooth, silky powder.

The powder is stored and packed in a temperature controlled facility. When we import the henna, we store the powders in a cool, dark place. Contrary to modern thought, henna should be stored in a cool, dark place, and NOT in the fridge or freezer. The powder is exposed to too much moisture in the fridge or freezer and will lose dye quality if not stored properly.

We mix the henna powder in small batches for our various pre-made pastes and cones. The henna powder gets mixed with lemon juice or water and sugar. We then add essential oils (for body art paste) and let the mixture rest. This resting time allows the henna paste go through dye release. Dye release is the time henna requires in order to release the lawsone dye molecule. This molecule is released with the presence of heat and acidity. We wait about 8-12 hours before packaging the henna paste.

The henna paste gets packaged into carrot bags first. Our Pre-Made paste is packed in carrot bags so the user can fill his/her own applicator. To make henna cones or mehndi cones, the henna gets squeezed into mylar or cello cones from the carrot bag. We then individually seal each henna cone and tape it shut. Each cone is then stored flat in our freezer until it is ready for use. We store ALL of our henna paste in the freezer. Henna paste can last up to 6 months in the freezer, 3-5 days in the fridge, and only 2-3 days at room temperature. It is best to store unused henna paste in the freezer. Repeated freezing and thawing will make the paste lose dye quality.

International orders are shipped via International Priority shipping service via DHL, FedEx or Aramex. This ensures the fastest and most economical methods of shipping. We use Priority shipping service which gets your order to you within 2-7 business days after it has been placed to most countries. Some countries may experience longer delays depending on the location.

Our shipping rates are calculated during checkout. This rate depends on the weight of your order, and the location in which it is going to. Not all delivery options are available for other countries. Due to the perishable nature of our natural products, we recommend to contact us directly at expoinfo76@gmail.com for deliveries to other countries.

CUSTOMS DECLARATIONS

Please note customs, duties, taxes, VAT: Dubai Henna is not responsible for duties, VAT, and taxes international orders may occur. Our experience shows that no special customs issues occurs through the shipping process and most packages clears customs easily and arrive to their destination easily and on time. That said, as in all international shipping it is the client's responsibility to check all local customs regulations and should any issue arises in a country we cannot be held responsible in any way.

DELIVERY PROBLEMS

Order Errors

Should you receive your order incomplete or with errors please contact us within 7 business days at expoinfo76@gmail.com. Please be sure to have your order number ready. Notifying us after 7 days will void your claim. For missing products we will reship that missing product to you. Should you have received another product in error, we will ship out your original product order along with a return prepaid envelope. Please return the product sent to you in error inside the prepaid envelope within 72 hours of receipt.

Undeliverable or Unclaimed courier

Should your order come back to us undeliverable and/or unclaimed, we will contact you immediately. The following options are available to you:

We can reship your order to you, in which additional shipping fees will apply. You would be responsible for shipping return costs to you.

Should this be an order error on Dubai Henna by Sara's part, we will ship your order to you at no cost to you.

Should you prefer to cancel your order, a 20% restocking and cancellation fee will apply. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
